Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) for Paint

In latex paint production, especially high-PVA paint, HEC as a thickener provides an excellent coating performance. It will not produce flocculation when used in thick paint. The thickening property of HEC helps reduce the usage of material so that to enhance the cost-effectiveness of paint formulations, while improving water and abrasion resistance of paint. HEC also has enzyme resistance that protects paint surface from mold and mildew growing, allowing the paint to be stored for a long time.
