Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) for Mining
Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) can be used as pellet binder and floating selection inhibitor in the mining industry.
Acting as a component of the binder used for mineral dust shaping, CMC plays a crucial role in the formation of pellets. Wet pellet, dry pellet and calcinated pellet can all have their characteristics improved by using CMC. The green pellet with CMC has outstanding performance in terms of antiknock, compressive strength and dropping resistance, thanks to the superior binding and pellet formation properties of CMC. Additionally, CMC can also raise the grade of pellet.
CMC can be used as an adjusting agent in floating selection process. It acts as silicate gangue inhibitor in copper-lead separation process, and occasionally as dispersant for mineral mud.
