Composition of Freeze Drying Machine

Our food freeze dryer is mainly composed of the drying chamber, pre-freezing chamber, water vapor condenser, refrigeration system, vacuum system, heating system, electrical control system and material conveying system. The drying chamber of our freeze drying machine is designed in accordance with the national standard for vacuum vessel. It is in horizontal cylinder shape and is welded with multiple reinforcing ribs outside to have higher strength. The body and the door of he drying chamber are sealed with silicone rubber sealer. An observing window is equipped on the drying chamber body to allow the drying process to be observed. On the top of the chamber body there are trolleys and suspension tracks facilitating material feeding and discharging.

The heating plates made of D31 (6363) aluminum alloy sections are installed on both the left and right sides of the drying chamber body. The heating plates are mainly for providing enough heat for the processed materials to sublimate. The plate of the upmost layer works as heating compensation plate. Surface of the heating plates is anodized and kept its original color. When the food freeze dryer is working, the material trays are placed between the two layers of heating plates.

The inner structure of the shelf is shown in the picture. The heating medium flows among the square holes of the shelves and heat the food taking advantage of the radiation on the shelf surface.
II. Pre-Freezing Chamber
The pre-freezing chamber of our freeze drying machine is actually a quick-freeze chamber used for freezing the food to be dried under its eutectic point before it is put into the drying chamber. The pre-freezing chamber is able to deal with 200kg food per hour with quick freeze temperature of -30°C~-35°C.
The water vapor condenser of our food freeze dryer is a device used for trapping the water vapor generated by sublimation. This device is connected to the drying chamber and helps reduce the water vapor movement resistance to the largest degree.
The condenser pipes made of stainless steel are formed by mechanical bending technology and welded by automatic welding machines. The pipes have passed the 1.6MPa pressure test and leakage test. An observation window is installed on the rear part of the water vapor condenser of our lyophilizer.

The refrigeration system of our food freeze dryer mainly consists of screw compressor, water condenser, throttling valve, evaporator and other accessories. The imported screw compressor and advanced pipeline design guarantee the refrigeration system works safely and stably for a long time. With adequate cold energy reserve, our refrigeration system can deal with large amount of vapor generated by sublimation.

The vacuum pump package used in our freeze drying machine can be made up pumps in the following combination ways: vacuum pump roots pump; slide valve pump roots pump; liquid ring pump roots pump.
The vacuum system of our lyophilization equipment can achieve automatic vacuum degree adjustment, greatly enhancing the efficiency of freeze drying.
The vacuum pump package is mainly use for create vacuum for the freeze drying system in the early stage of freeze drying process to make sure the food will not melt in that stage and remove those non-condensable gases.
At the suction port of the vacuum pump there is an automatic isolating device which can prevent backflow of the vacuum oil caused by power failure.

Main components of the heating system of our freeze drying machine include steam flow regulating valve, safety valve, drain valve and temperature sensor. The heating system mainly controls the temperature of the heating plate to supply enough heat for the sublimation of the food by controlling the steam supply volume through the flow regulating valve.
Features of Heating System of Food Freeze Dryer
1. The heating system adopts imported plate heat exchanger which is made of SUS316L, has high heat exchanging efficiency and long service.
2. The circulating pump with large flow volume and equal flow path guarantees uniform temperature of the shelves.
3. Multipath safety devices are configured to the heating system to ensure its safe running for a long time.
4. With heating plates made of high radiation materials, our heating system is of high heating efficiency and can achieve uniform heating so as to help shorten the freeze-drying cycle.
The control system of our freeze drying machine is an intelligent operation system developed based on terminal control and remote control technologies. This electrical control system consists of the relay, contactor, temperature sensor, pressure sensor, data conversion module, PLC, touch screen, etc. It is a set of industrial software which can directly show the working condition of each component, record the freeze-drying system operation process, alarm machine failure, store and call freeze-drying curves.

1. The electrical components we use are of world-famous brands. The computer or touch screen is from French SCHNIDER or Japanese PROFACE. The PLC made by German SIEMENS is highly reliable and stable.
2. Designed based on the intelligent fuzzy control principle, our electrical control system has powerful functions and works stably. It has fault point self-diagnosis function and can achieve remote synchronous control and diagnosis through computer.
3. This control system can complete freeze drying process automatically. It is also able to automatically record and store data such as temperature and vacuum degree. More than 30 freeze-drying curves can be stored in this control system. This electrical control system also has automatic alarm function for abnormal water volume, pressure, temperature and vacuum degree.

Parameter Setting
The material conveying system of our freeze drying machine is used to convey materials in the whole freeze drying process from material feeding, pre-freezing, drying to packaging.
The material conveying system is composed of the following parts
1. Suspension track and track reversing mechanism: It is used to connect the working stages of pretreatment, pre-freezing, drying and packaging. The track is generally made of I beam.
2. Suspension trolley: The trolley is made of SUS 304L and used for placing the material trays.
3. Material tray: It is used to hold the materials to be freeze-dried. The material tray is made of aluminum alloy, formed by punching and anodized on the surface. With round corners, the trays are easy to clean.
