Sodium Bromide Brine
Application
Sodium bromide brine is a salt with chemical formula of NaBr, and it can be used alone or in combination with sodium chloride or zinc bromide to form clear workover and completion fluids with densities of 8.4-12.5 lb/gal (1007-1498 kg/m3). These fluids are extremely suitable for conditions where carbonate ions, bicarbonate ions or sulfate ions exist in a large amount in formations or formation water, because other multivalent fluids will lead to scaling problems.
