Potassium Formate Powder
Functions
1. The potassium formate powder is the potassium salt of formic acid, and it is a high purity chemical additive for oilfield applications. This product can be dissolved in water easily, and it is neither toxic nor corrosive.
2. Our dry potassium formate is designed to make corresponding brine, namely potassium formate liquor which is further applied to form water-based drilling, completion, workover and fracturing liquids with density range of 8.4-13.1 pounds per gallon (1007-1570 kg/m3).
3. The produced potassium formate brine provides an eco-friendly and chloride-free choice to work instead of conventional high-density brines. It could inhibit shale hydration, extend polymer thermal stability as well as improve hole stability. Moreover, the brine exhibits good compatibility with reservoir fluids, and it enhances the productivity of well.
