Our HRM and PRM types of vertical mill are designed with both grinding wheel and grinding rollers. The rollers press with high pressure against the rotating grinding wheel, so as to grind the materials to desired fineness. The grinding equipment primarily consists of grinding rollers, grinding wheel, pressure-increasing device, speed reducer, electric motor, powder separator, and machine shell.
Features
- High efficiency but low energy consumption
- The grinding mill reduces materials to desired sizes by pressing grinding rollers against the grinding wheel. Due to this grinding principle, it can save about 20-30% electricity consumption as compared with ball mills. Its energy saving effect will be much more notable, when the feeding material moisture content increases.
- Strong drying capacity
- The vertical mill adopts gas stream for material delivering. When it is used for grinding materials with high moisture content, it can adjust the inlet air temperature to dry materials to desired level. Generally speaking, ball mills with drying function can dry materials with moisture content between 3% and 4%. Our vertical grinding machine supports drying materials with moisture content between 12% and 15%.
- Supporting large feeding particle size
- The feeding material size can be 40-100mm, and is usually 5% of roller diameter. Hence, large and medium sized vertical mill requires no secondary crushing.
- Stable chemical composition and uniform particle size distribution of ground materials
- Materials stay in the vertical grinding mill for only 2-3 minutes, while stay in ball mills for 15-20 minutes. Hence, materials processed by our vertical type grinding machine come with almost no change in chemical composition, which is helpful for homogenization. Additionally, the qualified powder materials can be timely separated from unqualified ones, so as to avoid repeated grinding. The uniform particle size facilitates following cement clinker sintering.
- Simplified production flow and reduced installation space
- The machine eliminates the demand for additional powder separator and elevator due to its built-in powder separating unit.
After grinding, the dust-bearing gas is delivered to a dust collector directly. This is how the vertical mill collects the ground materials, and why the production process is simple.
Due to these, the floor area for the machine installation is only 70% of that for ball mill system installation, and the workshop space is only 50%-60% of that for ball mill systems. - Low noise, low dust
- During ball mill operation, there will be noises caused by the impact among steel balls, as well as steel balls and the lining plate. The operation noise of our vertical grinding mill is 20~25dB lower than that of ball mills, because of the non-direct contact between the grinding wheel and rollers.
Meanwhile, the fully enclosed grinding system and negative pressure working mode contributes to extremely low dust generation.
Hence, the operation environment is clean, and the production is eco-friendly. - Low wear loss
- Due to the unique working principle, direct contact or impact among metal parts are avoided. This ensures very low wear loss and long service life of metal parts, such as the lining plate and grinding rollers. The wear loss is 5-10g/ton generally.
When the vertical mill is utilized for grinding cement with medium hardness, the grinding rollers and lining plate can offer lifespan about 8,000 hours.
