Polarization Insensitive Optical Isolator
Pictures and Schematic Diagram
Technical Specifications of Polarization Insensitive Optical Isolator
The polarization insensitive optical isolator, or optical diode, is used to block any back reflection or backscattering of light signals regardless the polarizing angle of the light. Low PMD means the rate at which data can be transmitted over a fiber can be very high. Epoxy-free optical path allows this fiber optic isolator to be used in high optical power applications as it makes for low power loss. Made with micro-optics package technology, the polarization insensitive isolator delivers the best possible stability and reliability. The optical isolator has been approved by Telcordia GR-1221-CORE standards.
