Pictures and Schematic Diagram

Built to Telcordia standards, this filter type wavelength division multiplexer features a thin-film filter that rejects a laser line but passes as much non-laser light as possible. Though with a small physical size, this filter type CWDM allow your light-wave signals to reach a greater distance in a way that you can rely on. It transmits multiple wavelengths simultaneously over a single fiber, and is considered an ideal solution for scaling up your fiber capacity, reach, and efficiency. Recent years has seen an increasing popularity of the fiber optic multiplexer in multi-wavelength digital transport architectures. The growing acceptance of CWDM technology is partly due to the fact that this passive optical device uses very low-cost un-cooled DFB laser transmitters and it does not rely on any electric power to operate which increases its reliability.
