Aquatic Weed Harvester in Lake Taihu
In the early summer of 2017, the water area of Lake Taihu enter aquatic weed harvesting and salvaging period. Different from former years, water weed of this year grows extremely flourish especially for Meiliang Lake area. The growing area of aquatic weed is approximately half of lake area and even up to 1/4 in some dense area. Even worse, if the aquatic weed is not cleaned and salvaged timely, it will mix with blue-green algae and can cause great impact on the water quality of lake.
In order to finish aquatic weed cleaning task, relation department of Binhu District purchased 4 aquatic weed harvesting boats and 2 aquatic dredging boats for cleaning aquatic weed and also prepares for cleaning blue-green algae. The aquatic weed cleaning machine is full-automatic harvesting and salvaging equipment and the whole system operation can be finished with just one worker. The harvesting width is 3.5m and harvesting depth is 0.8m. The working speed is 3km/h and it can clean about 3500 square meter per hour. The using of our aquatic weed harvesting machine has increased the harvesting and salvaging speed largely. Up to early June, Binhu area has salvaged aquatic weed for 28000 tons.
