How does a Q-Switched Nd YAG Laser work for treatment?

The Q-switched ND:Yag laser emits a high frequency, high energy density beam to break down pigments into tiny particles that will dissipate into the surrounding tissue or be eliminated by the body’s immune and lymphatic systems. The equipment is considered more effective compared to standard Nd:YAG lasers and results in less pain.

What are Q-Switched Nd:YAG Lasers used for?
The Q-Switched Nd:YAG emits laser beams with three different wavelengths:

532nm: surface skin layer treatment, effective for the removal of endogenous skin lesions with light pigment and exogenous skin formations.

1064nm: deep skin layer treatment, effective for the removal of endogenous skin lesions with deep pigment, all types of tattoos, and stubborn exogenous skin problems.

755nm: the focused laser beam can penetrate through the corium layer of skin and form conical holes that can stimulate regrowth and recombination of tissue collagen. The shrinking of the conical holes leads to exquisite, smooth, and younger looking skin which makes it great for skin-resurfacing and rejuvenation treatments.
