Downhole motor is a drilling tool which takes mud as motivation. It consists of Drive shaft assembly, Motor assembly, Cardan shaft assembly, Anti-out assembly and bypass valve assembly of five parts. Mud pump output mud flows through the bypass valve into the motor, and export a certain pressure to promote the rotation of the rotor, the torque and speed transmitted to the drill bit through the cardan shaft and drive shaft. Mud motor's performance depends on the motor assembly.
Downhole motor
The downhole motor is a kind of downhole tool driven by mud pump. Its performance depends on the motor assembly.
Advantages:
1. Increase the drilling speed, shorten the cycle and reduce operating costs.
2. Reduce the wear of the drill pipe and power transmission loss.
3. Accurate deflecting, orientation and correction improve the quality of work.
4. Used for horizontal wells and cluster wells to improve economic efficiency.
5. The compound drilling of vertical well reduces drilling time.
6. Shorten drilling cycle to prevent the pollution of the oil layer.
The oil-well pumps were ready for truck loading and would be sent to Kazakhstan in June, 2014!
