Fire retardant sewing thread is a polyester thread that has undergone a fire-resistant treatment. In addition to all the advantages of polyester, such as an excellent air permeability, no humidity and outstanding wrinkle resistance, this thread has an outstanding fire resistance in that it will not ignite. The fire resistance also will not recede after frequent washing.
