Intech Manufacturing supplies customers with high quality machine forged and cast parts at prices that allow customers to gain and maintain a competitive edge. We also carry out gravity casting processes, including sand casting, lost foam casting and permanent mold casting, as well as die casting processes. This allows us to offer rough, proof, or finished castings and forgings in any type or stainless steel or alloy steel grade.
- Gravity casting processes
During sand casting, lost foam casting and permanent mold casting processes, the metal liquid enters the mold via gravity. - Sand casting is a casting method to produce castings in a sand mold, making it suitable for making blanks in complex shapes, particularly those with a complex inner cavity.
- Lost foam casting takes advantage of foam’s low boiling point to simplify the investment casting process, reduce process time and achieve high precision casting. Our stainless-steel mini ball valve blanks are produced using the lost foam casting process.
- Permanent mold casting is a metal casting process that employs reusable molds ("permanent molds"), usually made from metal. Compared to sand casting, it obtains castings with a higher surface fineness.
- Die casting process
Die casting is one of the most efficient casting processes. The high-pressure metal liquid is pressed into a precision metal mold cavity at high speed, where the metal liquid is then pressure cooled and solidified to forma casting. However, casting is prone to creating pores and shrinkage, making die cast parts fragile when exposed to high impact loads and vibration. To prevent this, for castings with pressure requirements for complex shapes, industry experts recommend using a gravity casting process. - Our machine shop is equipped with advanced production equipment, including CNC machine tools, machining centers, grinding machines, engraving machines, milling machines, bending machines, laser cutting machines, shearing machines, drawing machines, punching machines, welding machines, and more, giving us the ability to provide our customers with reliable, qualified castings and forgings, as well as offer our customers excellent cost benefits to maintain operations at profitable levels.
