Principles and applications of the shaded pole motor
The shaded pole motor is the simplest type of single phase induction. The motor's stator assembly is composed of an iron core, the main winding and the auxiliary winding. The auxiliary winding is the short-circuit ring, whose function is to phase the magnetic potential covered by the short-circuit ring, forming an elliptical magnetic field to generate directional starting torque, thereby starting the motor. The shaded pole motor features stable structure, reliable operation, low noise and no electromagnetic interference, which is widely used in underloaded startup: such as range hoods, exhaust fans, air heaters, air purifiers, humidifiers, microwave ovens, ovens, wall mount boilers, sprayers, refrigerators, water pumps, oil pumps, medical equipment, etc.
