The optically variable ink by KAISHIMEI is a prominent anti-counterfeiting measure used on wide variety of anti-forgery packages, securities, certificates, banknotes, etc. The ink displays two distinctly different colors depending on the angle the product is viewed at. A fifty-dollar bill, for instance, uses OVI for the numeral 50 so that it displays one color at one angle and one different color in another.

The color-shifting ink comes with strong optical variable characteristic and obvious chromatic aberration, which can not be reproduced by high definition copy machine, scanner or other equipment. Consumers, however, can identify without any instrument.
