SLED Superluminescent LED Butterfly Pigtailed Laser Module
This product has been discontinued and removed from our shelves.
The SLED superluminescent LED butterfly pigtailed laser module is designed for high-speed selected-wavelength light transmission system. The built-in thermoelectric cooler enables the laser device to run stably under various environmental conditions.
Superluminescence-based SLED is a highly stable optical source encapsulated in a 14-pin butterfly package. It is able to provide a rather wide optical bandwidth at high current. In that it differs from the conventional ASE-based SLED. The low coherence of light source reduces the noise generated by Rayleigh backscattering. The high-power single-mode fiber optical output with wide light spectrum not only offsets the noise of the receiver but also helps achieve high spatial resolution in OCT applications as well as improves the detection sensitivity in sensor applications.
This series of product delivers low threshold current, and high output power ranging between 40MW and 50MW with light source bandwidth beyond 100nm. It can be used in phase modulation, fiber-optic gyroscope, optical measurement, fiber-optic sensing, OCT, biomedical imaging, and clinical medical facilities.
