The sodium bromide solid is colorless cubic crystal or white granular powder. Odorless. Taste salty and bitter. Its melting point is 747 ℃, and the boiling point is 1390 ℃.
The sodium bromide solid is soluble in water, and the solution is neutral. It is also slightly soluble in alcohol. In water of 100g, its solubility is: 79.5g at 0 ℃, 90.3g at 20 ℃, and 121g at 100 ℃.

5. Usage
The sodium bromide solid can be used for the following purposes:
a) used alone or together with sodium chloride, potassium chloride, or other bromides as well completion fluid, workover fluid and cementing fluid.
b) used for swimming pool water treatment and industrial wastewater treatment.
c) used as diuretic and depressant drugs, strengthening the process of cortical inhibition.
d) used as brominating agent in industries of synthetic fragrances, pharmaceuticals and dyes.
6. Storage and Handling
The sodium bromide solid should be store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. The container must be sealed to prevent moisture. Pile it separately from deliquescent goods.
